Supporting each other through life is a central part of who we are and what we do at Kol Chai and there are ample opportunities to get involved in volunteering.

Some of our  valued volunteers meet regularly through our  care group to keep in touch with and visit those in our community who are in need. They are supported by our  part-time Care Co-ordinator.

Members co-ordinate a calling circle of other volunteers who ring everyone over the age of 80 three times a year, and for those who can help occasionally we also have a list of members who are “ad hoc volunteers”, responding to emergency calls from members who are ill, or need one-off help.

We organise lifts to events or services for those who can’t otherwise get there, including our daytime social events, such as the  Bistro at 434 and Afternoon Tea at 434.

If you know of anyone who might need some extra help or if you are interested in volunteering in any capacity, please contact the shul office or  rabbi.naomi@kolchai.org.
