Care Group

Supporting each other through life is a central part of who we are and what we do – and there are ample opportunities to get involved in volunteering.

Our care group meets regularly to keep in touch with and visit those in our community who are in need. They are supported by our new part-time Care Co-ordinator.

Members co-ordinate a calling circle of people who ring everyone over the age of 80 three times a year, and we also have a list of members who are “ad hoc volunteers”, responding to emergency calls from members who are ill, or need one-off help.

We organise lifts to events or services for those who can’t otherwise get there, including our daytime social events, Bistro at 434 and Afternoon Tea at 434.

If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity, please contact rabbi.naomi@kolchai.org.
