Festival Services
Times & places
With the exception of the High Holydays, all our services take place in our synagogue building – 434 Uxbridge Road, Hatch End, Middx HA5 4RG
Access to the Rosh Hashanah (1st day) and Yom Kippur services are by ticket only. Please contact the synagogue office if you do not have a ticket but wish to attend one of these services.
Note
The Reform Movement adopts the custom practiced in Israel of observing only one 1st day of a festival. As a result, Sukkot is a 7-day festival and Simchat Torah falls on the 8th day. Simchat Torah will fall on the 9th day in orthodox communities in the UK.
Rosh Hashanah, however, is celebrated for two days, as it is in Israel, so that at some point during the 48 hours every Jew across the world will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah together.
Dates for this year are:
Rosh Hashanah: Sat & Sun 19th & 20th September
Yom Kippur: Mon 28th September
Sukkot 1st day: Sat 3rd October
Simchat Torah: Sat 10th October
Kol Chai wishes all viewers of this
